Size

Typically, 2 – 3cm in width.

Identification

Dark brown to greenish in colour with square-triangular markings throughout the shell. Most individuals will have some degree of spire erosion, with more prominent erosion in larger individuals

Description

Amphidromous species, with juveniles entering streams and large rivers to reside and reproduce. Widespread and common species, found in low elevation sections of coastal streams.
